Sound
After long months in the subterranean spaces of Albert McDonnel's
Skatebottom Studios in Juneau, Alaska, Crabgrass's long awaited
first release is now on the shelves. How Bout Now? , a labor of
lunacy and in-depth study of the G-run (in three different keys!!),
will warm your cockle like a long pull of good bourbon. Thanks to
Albert's nearly bottomless reservoir of patience and low rates for
studio time, Crabgrass brings you 18 songs no longer than 2 minutes,
31 seconds (except for one ). Albert is also a gifted upright and
electric bass player (left handed) and has toured central northeastern
california with the Bobb Family Band.
Old
Crow Studios
The things we know, we've learned the hard, hard
way, and that's why we know how badass Bob Hamilton is. Hailing
from Whitehorse in Canada's Yukon Territory, Bob is the Juno award
winning proprietor of Old
Crow Studios. Just when we thought the album sounded as good
as it was gonna, we asked Bob to take hold of it for the final mastering
process and the proof is in the Pabst. Check out the band Bob plays
in, the Undertakin' Daddies. They are way better than us.

WINTERGRASS
Wintergrass 2002 lived up to its reputation
as a festival promising a cold beer no more than 20 steps away from
any given location. (Except for the church
B.Y.O!!)
The Cutting edge of Bluegrass workshop series was a
hoot to participate in. One lady said we became her favorite band
at Wintergrass when she came into our 11am workshop and saw that
we all had cold Buds. (No Pabst at Wintergrass - B.Y.O!!)
North
American Tour
Despite our months of intense labor, our
CD ran short of being ready for our summer 2001 tour of North America
via the Parks Highway. The tour was a great success as we paid for
nary a beer, and succesfully completed a valve job on Slim's bug.
Thanks to all who came out to see and/or heckle. We hope you had
as much fun as someone told us we had.
